flexiDOCK MB021VP-B, removable frame The Icy Dock flexiDOCK MB021VP-B is a compact U.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0/4.0 SSD removable frame that supports data transfer rates of up to 64 Gbit/s via a Slimline SAS (SFF-8654) connector. It fits into the external 3.5" drive bay (floppy bay) of a computer case and enables the installation and replacement of drives without a tray and without a front flap. Users can access their U.2 SSD without opening the computer case or using any tools or screws. Simply insert a U.2 SSD, press the power button to turn on the drive, and you're ready to go. The open-panel design allows users to swap out their U.2 NVMe SSDs in seconds When a drive is inserted into the MB021VP-B, the device's eject button will pop out. To remove the drive, push the eject button back in and the drive will pop out. The elegant and easy-to-read status LED is integrated into the eject button and shows the current status of the drive Icy Dock has developed a clever drive guidance mechanism that ensures a smooth and reliable full insertion/removal of the drive regardless of whether you use a U.2 SSD with 7mm or 15mm height. There are two guide cams on either side of the drive and a metal flap on the back that automatically adjusts to the height of the drive. Each of the guide cams clamps the drive in place, while the conformable metal flap pushes the drive down to improve drive stability.
